Description: Elias, the fallen angel formerly known as the star of gods, lives an immortal life. Originally sent to earth with his angelic brethren, they all served as Watchers, ordered to observe and report back on humankind. One by one, each angel fell, including Elias. Now cursed by the gods, Elias is tethered to the earthly realm and forced to serve his penance roaming earth with no purpose. In 1781, he finds himself wishing for the one thing he cannot have - death. Until one night, Gladys Whitlock appears on his doorstep bleeding and bare, giving Elias something new to wish for - the death of another. Gladys Whitlock is a mage on the run, haunted by an unwanted prophecy. Injured and bare, she drags herself to the only glimmer of light in the forest, awakening to find herself in the bed of a fallen angel. Now that their worlds have collided, will Gladys answer Elias's prayers by delivering him to death, or will she evoke a reason to live?
